What is a Pendulum?
A pendulum is also known as “dowsing”, is a piece of stone, wood, or metal, usually in the shape of a triangular point. It is attached by a chain or string in which allows it to swing freely. It can back and forth, or in clockwise and counterclockwise motions.
What is Dowsing Used for?
Depending on the person a pendulum can be used for a variety of different things such as:
Divination(Yes or No Questions, visions, etc).
Opening the charkas, or energy wheels.
Sending healing energy via distance.
Cleansing spaces, objects, or tools used in ritual, divination, or daily life.
Connect to the Archangels, Gods/Goddesses, and Animal Spirit Guides.

What’s An Animal Spirit Guide?
Animal spirit guides are gentle, cosmic energies in the form of fur, feathers, scales, and hooves. Their purpose is to relay a message or teach you a valuable lesson in this lifetime. Once you have learned the class or received the message the animal spirit will usually disappear. In some cases, spirit guides do remain with you for longer amounts of time.

How to Use Dowsing to Connect to Your Animal Spirit Guide
Items Needed
A quiet place where you will not be disturbed for 10 mins.
A pendlum in any crystal, metal, or wood.
One white candle
One pink candle.
One gold candle
An altar or place you can place the candles without fear of animals, or children knocking them over.
The best time to do this is when you are able to be the most relaxed. Whatever time you are drawn to, feel free to go for it. There is no right or wrong time.
Steps:
Take 5-10 minutes to clear your mind and your aura. To clear your aura visualize a white shower sending cleansing energy around you and through you.
Visualize an unbreakable shield, bubble, or armor around you, covering you 360 degrees. You may also want to spray sage smudging spray or use a smudge stick to clear your altar.
Next, light the gold candle and walk in a clockwise motion around the place of focus or your altar. At this time ask your Archangels, Source, or Gods and Goddesses to protect you at this time.
Sit quietly with your legs crossed. Take in 5 cleansing breaths.
Pick up your pendulum and state an intention for this ritual. For example “I call upon my animal spirit guide for the intention to guide me where to focus next in life.
Hold your pendulum to your chest, express gratitude for the guidance you are about to receive.
When you are ready, hold the pendulum in your dominant hand. If you work better holding it in your non-dominant hand that’s okay too!
Ask for the animal spirit guide that wishes to offer you the wisdom to please step forward. Let the pendulum dangle, gently holding the chain between your thumb and index finger.
As the pendulum swings focus on the inside of the swinging pendulum. If it helps you can also visualize a big clear crystal sphere or globe. Let the animal and the messages come to you.
When you are ready, thank the animal spirit, if they allow, you may pet or hug them.
Take your gold candle and walk counter clockwise while thanking your divine guides for protecting you during this time.
You may want to jot down any messages in a safe journal or even your phone to refer back to at a later time.
Light the white and pink candles and visualize white and pink energy clearing your altar and workspace.
Snuff the candles out when you are ready and clean your area as you wish.
